My VERY First Vacation

Hi everyone,

Despite my newly gained baby fat I'm still very small, but my parents already took me on a trip to Australia. To be honest, they needed some time out after all the stress of the last months. I guess, the same goes for me, because since I'm back home, I sleep nicely 5-6 hours through in the night. Before we left, I woke up my mommy every 2-3 hours, because I was sooo hungry. Probably my stomach is now bigger, and that is the reason I can sleep so long now!

However, the trip was really great! Although I overslept most of the beautiful things my mommy and daddy saw, but they took nice pictures to show me them later, when I'm a little bit bigger. You can already enjoy them, so I want to share them with you!

My flight was really easy! I was fed during off-take and landing, to protect my ears from the pressure. And the rest of the flight I slept in a nice cot that was adjusted at the wall in front of my parents. I really behaved myself soooo well!

The first four days my we stayed in Sydney. We saw the famous Opera house, the Botanic Garden with its flying dogs, the zoo, the aquarium, and much more! My mommy carried me in a cloth which was very comfortable, but on the last day it got very hot. So my parents bought me a buggy. Sydney is very international, as you can see!

"Der schoenste Platz ist immer an der Theke,...lalala!"

Then we drove north. We passed Manly, which reminded my parents a little bit to La Jolla. We made nice picnics on our way.

We slept in a wonderful hotel in Newcastle with a gorgeous view to the beach.

I had a nice bath there in the big bath tube, and in the night we could hear the sound of the waves rolling gently to the beach.

I also had nice cots in the hotels to sleep in. There were huge, and I enjoyed the possibility to stretch my arms and legs in the night, without bumping against the rims! My little red piggy was travelling with me as well and was my companion in the nights!

Then we went into the Blue Mountains. They are full with eucalyptus trees where the cute koalas live! We didn’t see any koalas in the wild, but many, many kangaroos! Some of the kangaroos were hit by cars and lied dead next to the street. That was really sad. We went into a sanctuary that is called Black Butt; there we saw a wombat, and finally some koalas! But their butts were white-ish.
There is a wonderful botanic garden hidden in the hills of the Blue Mountains. We went to visit it, and we hat the most beautiful views over the valley, and we saw spring blossoms.

Then we went even higher into the Mountains, where we found a huge canyon, full with eucalyptus! After another night, we headed back to the coast.

It was very windy at the coast, and there was even a storm during the night!

But I was not afraid at all!

There is a rock formation at the coast, south of Sydney, where the water rushes into, and sprays out every other minute like a fountain!

After so much fun, it was time to fly home again. We drove back to Sydney, and in the late evening we all went into a nice Italian restaurant. Again, I behaved myself very well! And the flight back was easy, too.

So, that’s it for now!

Love you all,

Antonia-Armazinchen
